Step 1. Before creating and launching site

What needed to launch a site

  1. You need to rent a hosting. Pay your attention for hosting requirements.
  2. And to rent a domain. Details further.

Hosting

Hosting — is the service of placing the data on the server.
Open any online search engine into your browser, for example Google.com. Enter «Hosting» to the search string. Search engine will offer you many hosting providers, choose any what you like. If you don’t want to search long go to Aws.amazon.com — it’s one of the biggest hosting providers.

Select tariff which fits your wishes and hosting requirements:

Hosting services prices are different. Likely tariff with price near 2$ per month will fit to you.Necessary save all emails which you will receive from hosting service and all logins and passwords!

Domain

Domain — is the domain name, the name of the site. By this name people find sites.

Specialized registrars registers and rent new domains. For example Domain.com.
Select or invent domain name for your site and rent it. We recommend to use latin letters only.
Price of domain depends on its uniqueness and «beauty». Middle price is 3-10$ per year.
Necessary save all emails which you will receive from domain registrar and all logins and passwords!
When you get domain and hosting you need to link them. There is no universal instruction — each service has its own instruction. Usually is necessary to take info from hosting and wright it into personal area at domain registrar site. Ask domain registrar for instruction.

Step 2. How to create a site with «News Templ.» constructor

Instruction

Constructor will help you to create a news website by yourself. Programming experience not required.

At the end of the Step 2 you will get an archive with files for your future site.
Do following:

Step 2.1.
Click button «Create a website».

Step 2.2.
Select one from seven available templates.

Step 2.3.
Click button «Select template» to accept choice.

Step 2.4.
Mark plugins you need. You could select all plugins or no one — this not makes work slowly.

Step 2.5.
Click button «Confirm and continue».

Step 2.6.
Enter the system by social networks buttons or by your email address
If you have entered the system before, there will be no this step.

Step 2.7.
Enter a title for your site in «Site name».

Step 2.8.
If you want you can upload a logo for site. You can do it later.

Step 2.9.
If you want you can enter short description for site. You can do it later too.

Step 2.10.
Click button «Download site» and you will see start of downloading of the archive with files for your site. Please wait for full download, it can take several minutes.
Downloading could start with 2-4 seconds of delay. If downloading is not starting then check settings of your browser. Perhaps downloading of files is prohibited by browser or antivirus or you use adblock.

Step 2.11.
Files in the archive is the site. Now you need to upload files to hosting to let people see your site.
Create a new folder on your computer. Extract files from the archive into this folder. There must be nothing in folder except the files from the archive. Remember name of this folder and its placement.

Step 3. How to upload site files to hosting

Before upload

You need to copy site files to hosting to launch site. How to get these files read in constructor instruction and what is hosting read in memo for hosting and domain if you miss it.

Each hosting service has its own features. Before you start upload files:
  1. Make sure that hosting characteristics fit our hosting requirements.
  2. Link your domain and hosting.
  3. Create an database on hosting if it’s not created.
  4. Learn how folder for site files on hosting should be named.

To do this read reference information at the site of your hosting service or ask hosting support.

​Upload site to hosting with FileZilla program

    Program setup
  1. Go to Filezilla.com.
  2. Click «Download FileZilla Client All platforms».
  3. Wait when download ends.
  4. Open the downloaded file.
  5. Follow setup wizard instructions.
  6. Wait for the end of the setup of «FileZilla».
  7. Preparing
  8. Open «FileZilla».
  9. Click «File > Site manager». A new window will be opened.
  10. At left side select «My sites» and click «New site». Enter name for it.
  11. At right side fill the fields:
    1. Host — enter ip-address or domain.
    2. Port — enter «21».
    3. Login type — select «Normal».
    4. Username — enter your login from hosting.
    5. Password — enter your password from hosting.
  12. Click «Connection».
  13. At left side of the window you’ll see folders on your computer. At the right side — folders on the server.
  14. OK, you’ve done the FTP-connection to the server.
  15. Copy files
  16. Extract files from the archive which you’ve downloaded with constructor into the separate folder on your computer.
  17. At left side of «FileZilla» select the folder with site files. You’ll see files in folder below.
  18. Select all files in this folder.
  19. Click on selected files by right mouse button. Then click «Upload to server».
  20. You’ll see progressbar down below. Please, wait for 100%.
  21. If hosting requires to place site files into specific folder then drag them there.
  22. Congratulations! You’ve uploaded your site to server.
  23. Now you can open your site in browser. At star you’ll see the WordPress wizard, just follow its instructions.

​If you have Windows then use Windows tools

    Preparing
  1. Open any folder on your computer.
  2. At address string enter domain name of your future site like this «ftp://domainame.com» or ip-address «ftp://213.32.119.223».
  3. Press «Enter».
  4. Window will ask you for login and password. Find them in letter from hosting. Fill the fields and continue.
  5. OK, you’ve done the FTP-connection to the server.
  6. Copy files
  7. Extract files from the archive which you’ve downloaded with constructor into the separate folder on your computer.
  8. If hosting requires to place site files into specific folder then сopy site files into that folder. It will take several minutes.
  9. Congratulations! You’ve uploaded your site to server.
  10. Now you can open your site in browser. At star you’ll see the WordPress wizard, just follow its instructions.

Step 4. First launch of your site

Instruction

    Open the site
  1. After uploading all files to hosting, enter your domain in browser and click «Enter».
  2. At first launch you will see WordPress settings page. Follow the instructions.
  3. Select language
  4. Select interface language from the list.
  5. Click «Continue».
  6. Connect to database
  7. You will see the page with instructions. Read this and click «Let’s go».
  8. Now you should fill five fields. Information for these fields is provided by hosting service. Find this info in emails from hosting service or at personal area of hosting service site or call hosting support.
  9. Click «Submit» when finish.
  10. Setup WordPress
  11. You will see the page with instructions. Read this and click «Run the instal».
  12. On the next page you should enter info which you will use to administrate your site in future.
  13. Invent and enter username. For example «admin». Save it to your notes.
  14. Invent and enter password. Save it to your notes.
  15. Enter your real email address.
  16. If you are launching the site only for test mark the checkbox to hide site from search engines.
  17. Click «Instal WordPress».
  18. Wait for the next page. It can take several minutes.
  19. Enter the site
  20. At the last page click «Log in».
  21. Now enter login and password from 9 item of this instruction.
  22. Click «Log in».


That’s all! You are in the administration panel. Here you can customize your site, adjust plugins and add posts and pages.

How to set your language

You can change language of the administration panel. Do the following:

  1. Log in administration panel.
  2. Go to Settings > General.
  3. You will see a list of general settings.
  4. Find the field named «Language» and select your language.
  5. Then click «Save» at the end of the page.

Also you can improve translation with Loco Translate plugin.

Commerce plugins

​Advanced Ads Plugin

For what? To add advertisement on site manually as you wish or by AdSense service.

How to turn it on? Do not need to activate, plugin is ready to use.

How to add ads on homepage or sidebar?

  1. Log in administrators panel.
  2. At left menu select Advanced Ads > Ads. Here is a list of your ads.
  3. Click New Ad.
  4. Use original manual or go experimental: https://wpadvancedads.com/
  5. Complete settings and then click Publish. Now this ad will be placed at Advanced Ads > Ads.
  6. At left menu select Appearance > Widgets.
  7. Click Advanced Ads near the heading Available Widgets.
  8. Select place for your ad: Homepage or Sidebar
  9. Then click Add Widget.
  10. At right you will see new empty form. Enter the title and choose an ad from dropbox.
  11. Click Save. Your ad will be placed on selected site pages.

​PayPal Donations Plugin

For what? To let users to give donations.

How to turn it on?

  1. Log in administrators panel.
  2. Go to Settings > PayPal Donations.
  3. Enter your PayPal account. If you don’t have an account, create it at the PayPal site.
  4. Select currency.
  5. Select button design.
  6. Go to Appearance > Widgets.
  7. At Available Widgets click PayPal Donations.
  8. Select a place for widget.
  9. At right fill the fields for PayPal Donations panel.
  10. Click Save.

For what? To keep reserved copies of posts and other data in case of force majeure. Reserved copies will help to restore your site if something will go wrong.

How to adjust reserve copying?

  1. Log in administrators panel.
  2. At left menu select Tools > Backups.
  3. Here is the list of backups and settings.
  4. Click Settings and set options for automatic backup. Pay attention: you can save database and files.
  5. Click Run Now to start saving manually.
  6. Copy of database and/or files will be saved to your computer.
  7. Auto copies will be saved on server.

  3. Select horizontal or vertical button bar.
  4. Click on Settings of the selected variant.
  5. At Settings Menu click Select Networks.
  6. Select one or more social networks. Change other settings if needed.
  7. Click Save Changes at the end of the page.
  8. Social network icons will be placed on site. Your guests could share your posts now.

  10. At Available Widgets click Text.
  11. Select a place for widget.
  12. Paste the code of the form to the big text field and enter a title.
  13. Click Save.
